  • Arrival to Dar Es Salaam

    In the morning, you will arrive to Dar Es Salaam airport and you will meet with the guide. You will be driven to the Selous Game Reserve; in the afternoon arrival at the Rufiji River Camp. Safari tour with fast boat on the Rufiji River, teeming with hippo and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at tended camp.

    Days dedicated to the discovery of the Selous Game Reserve. The park is a protected area that is the home of many animals including the endangered wild dogs. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River camp.

  • Mikumi National Park - Dar Es Salaam

    After breakfast, you will have time for your last game drive in the park. After that you will be driven to Dar Es Salaam.

    You will arrive to Das Es Salaam around 3 pm, to fly to Mafia Island. Transfer to Butiama Beach Resort (Half-board).

  • Mafia Island (FROM DAY 4 TO DAY 8)

    You will relax in this paradise. Butiama Beach can organize several activities like snorkelling, boat trips, swimming with whale sharks.

Included

  • Tour on an off-road 4x4 Land Cruiser. All the jeeps have removable sunroof panels and it is possible to charge cameras, iPhones, etc. on the vehicles.
  • Full board starting from the first day (lunch is included) to the last day (lunch is included). During the safari you will be provided with a packed lunch that you can eat in suitable areas.
  • Park entrance fees and protected area fees.
  • English or Italian speaking guide, as requested.
  • Trips to and from airports.
  • Bottled water and drinks always provided in the jeeps.
  • Domestic flights to and from sea destinations
  • Medical Insurance AMREF Flying Doctors.
  • Binoculars on each jeep.

  • International flights.
  • Entrance visa to be paid upon arrival at DAR ES SALAAM airport ( cost 50 USD per person)
  • Drinks at the lodge/tented camp during meals and any other extra services.
  • Tip to the guide at the end of the safari (it is customary to leave a tip around 10-20 $ per person per day)
  • Extra personal services and anything else not mentioned in "What is included in your itinerary".
