Lake Manyara National Park is on the north western bank of the homonymous lake; it is a salt lake like Natron and Eyasi in northern Tanzania.
Even here there are a range of habitats, each of which is home to various species: a dense equatorial forest is home to the white-throated monkey and a large number of leopards, which are not easy to sight as they tend to hide in the brush.
